Abstract (EN)
In this study; in the first stage, amphiphilic poly(DMAEMA-co-MMA) copolymer was prepared from hydrophilic monomer 2-dimethylamino ethylmethacrylate (DMAEMA) and hydrophobic monomer methyl methacrylate (MMA) using free radical polymerization. In the second stage, five series of PIN/DMAEMA-co-MMA composites were prepared at different concentrations using indole conducting monomer in the presence of iron(III) chloride (FeCl3) using in situ oxidative polymerization method on poly(DMAEMA-co-MMA) copolymer. The structures of the polymer composites (PCs) were elucidated using FTIR, TGA, SEM, AFM characterization techniques. PCs exhibited significant performance in bacterial biofilm adhesion tested using Streptococcus mutans by test tube method (TM). In this study, PC1 at a concentration of 0.006 mg/ml reduced the biofilm formation of Streptococcus mutans by 83.199%. As the concentration and amount of poly(indole) in CPs increased, the % antibiofilm effect also increased. The antibacterial activity of the prepared PIN/(DMAEMA-co-MMA) composites against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus was evaluated and the results showed that the composite had antibacterial activity. In addition, antioxidant studies of the composites were performed. The results showed that the bioactivity of PIN(90%)/(DMAEMA-co-MMA) composite increased. In addition, the findings of the antioxidant studies showed that PIN exhibited the highest viability value among all other samples. Dielectric properties of the composite thin films were evaluated depending on the frequency based on dielectric loss and tangent values.
