Abstract (EN)

Energy takes an important place in human life. Energy becomes the most important need in developed countries and developing countries. As a result, energy production and consumption emerges as an important factor that determines the development levels of countries. The need for energy, which has become indispensable for societies, is increasing day by day in parallel with the increase in the population and technological developments. Scientists are working on renewable energy sources all over the world and especially in developing countries, due to the gradual decrease in fossil fuel reserves, which constitute the majority of world energy resources, and their negative effects on human health and the environment. Due to its many advantages in these renewable energy sources, hydrogen gas is undoubtedly the fuel of the future. Hydrolysis of alkali metal hydrides is preferred as the transport of hydrogen gas poses a major problem. As part of this thesis, polymer-supported Co-B and Co-Cu-B catalysts for the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride were synthesized by chemical absorption and precipitation. Synthesized catalysts are characterized by XRD and SEM images. In sodium borohydride hydrolysis; The effect of polymer/catalyst ratio, NaOH concentration, sodium borohydride (NaBH4) concentration, catalyst content and temperature parameters were investigated. The kinetics and activation energy of the sodium borhydride hydrolysis of each catalyst were determined. An optimum speed was achieved in the presence of polyme /Co-B 15%, NaOH concentration 3 % and NaBH4 2.5% of the Polymer Supported Co-B catalyst. An optimum rate was achieved in the presence of polymer/Co-B 15 %, NaOH concentration 5% and NaBH4 2.5% of the polymer supported Co-Cu-B catalyst. When polymer-supported Co-B and Co-Cu-B catalysts are used, sodium borohydride degradation kinetics are found to be 0 degrees for both catalysts. The activation energy of sodium borohydride hydrolysis was found to be 49.2 kj / mol and 50.6 kj / mol for the catalysts of polymer-supported Co-B and Co-Cu-B catalysts, respectively.
