Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to examine police officers' lifelong learning tendency and to determine the relationship between the various demographic variables. The population of the research included police officers working at Şehitkamil and Şahinbey District Police Headquarters of Gaziantep in 2018. The research sample consisted of 304 police officers selected randomly from different departments of the headquarters. This study which is based on quantitative approach is a descriptive study. As data collection tools, "Personal Information Form" and "Lifelong Learning Tendency Scale" developed by Yaman and Yazar (2015) were used. Reliability of the scale was assured, and Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was found as 0.97. In statistical analysis, Independent samples T-test and One-Way Anova were applied in the research. As a result of data analysis, it was found that police officers' lifelong learning tendency was moderate level. While police officers' lifelong learning tendency did not differ statistically in terms of gender, educational background, school of graduation and department being worked, it was statistically different in terms of age, professional seniority and foreign language level.
