Abstract (EN)
Marketing is an art of sale of the manufactured goods and services. Policy is a skill of ruling the state and people. The process of marketing of views of political parties which aim to come to power is termed "political marketing". The activities of the political parties aimed at persuading the electorate are termed "promotion activities". This study aims at examining whether the degree of influence of promotion activities through political marketing means on the electorate shows vary across sex, age, educational background, monthly income and political party membership. Within this framework a survey has been conducted among 600 voters in Gaziantep and data have been gathered. The method of convenience sampling has been used among non-random methods. The produced data have been analysed by means of SPSS software package. Factor analysis, T-tests and one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) have been conducted. The analysis has revealed that the variance of degree of influence of advertising and promotion activities on the electorate across sex groups, monthly income and occupation is statistically insignificant and a variance has been observed across the variables of age, educational background and political party membership. It has also been found out that there is no significant variance across the variables in the degree of influence of the news activities on the electorate. The study has revealed that there is no significant variance across sex, occupation and public relations in terms of influence of campaign activities and that there is significant variance across age, educational background and monthly income. Statistically significant variance across sex and occupation variables has been observed for public relations activities. It has been found out that there is no significant variance across age, educational background, monthly income and political party membership.
