Researching the pop-art movement and creating designs on sportswear

Pop-art art began to be influential in the world in the 1950s and became a trend as of the 1960s. As in many sectors, the textile sector has been influenced by the pop-art movement. The aim of this study is to reflect the pop-art art to the designs of sports textile products. Because the intense competition in the sports textile market today has brought about creating differentiated product designs. For this reason, pop-art art was used to support the technical features of sports textile products with visual features that will attract the attention of the users. In this study, after the Pop-art art is examined in general, pop-art art in the textile sector is included. In order to create sports textile designs, the general properties of sports textile products were examined in detail. Finally, designs were created using visual elements in line with the technical features and pop-art art, which will respond to the needs of the users during the activity and affect their performance positively. As a result, the interest of individuals in sports is increasing day by day. For this reason, the sports textile market is growing day by day and competition is increasing. In this direction, the visual differentiation of the products will attract the attention of the users. By reflecting the pop-art art, which once influenced the whole world, to sports textile products, product designs were created that would both meet the needs of the users and be visually interesting.
