Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, the series-films are followed by almost every age group of people and have many positive and negative effects on individuals, which we can define as the role-model. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the views of popular television and internet series-films on the effects of high school students on role-modeling behavior. In this context, by using qualitative research design, purposeful sampling method used in qualitative studies was used. The sample of the study consists of a total of 30 high school students, including 15 boys and 15 girls from 11 and 12th grade students who study at three different schools in Siirt province and watch series-films. Using the interview form, face-to-face interviews with the students for 8-15 minutes were conducted and the data were collected. According to the findings obtained by doing content analysis in Nvivo10 program, it was seen that the students wanted to be like them by emulating series-films characters. It was seen that these emulations caused changes in emotions, thoughts and behaviors at different points such as the career acquisition, physical appearance and clothes, speaking style, love of homeland, providing motivation and interpersonal relations.
