Özet (EN)
Since osseointegration was described by Branemark, dental implantology has become a subsequent demand in dentistry. The implant supported prothesis are the popular and demanding option for the edentolous and partially edentolous patient. However, a prerequisite for the successful implant treatment is sufficient bone volume. So variations in maxillary bone volume, degree of pneumatization of maxillary sinus is a primary concern in placing dental implants in athrophic posterior maxilla. The insufficient height of bone between the maxillary crest and maxillary sinus, the highly pneumatization of maxillary sinus leads difficulties in placing implants. Regarding these kinds of variations in maxillary bone volume, different techniques are described in the literature to increase the primary stability of implant and bone volume. The purpose of this study is to analyze the biomechanical properties of different implant designs in different bony situations by using 3 dimensional finite element analysis program. For this study 2 different implant designs was used, and 3D models of an athrophic maxillary model with sinus graft was modeled by using an Engineering Software Marc 2005 (MSC Software). Also different implant designs and different loading conditions were performed with the same program in order to simulate lifelike conditions. Lower stress values were measured on the models that had been grafted compared to the models that grafted. Keywords: implant, maxillary sinus, finite element stress analysis, sinus lifting procedure, bone grafts
