Özet (EN)

Today's Postmodern era is the era of signs that present the philosophy of life of consumption culture to humanity, in which a new ideology is dominant, and in which individuals represent the existence through what they consume. The mentality of this age has also affected religious individuals who adhere to their religious values and attitudes, and brought them to the point of changing the outcome of their preferences as consumption-oriented. In our research, we examined the effect of consumption culture on religious women by touching on this issue/problem. As a research model, we applied the in-depth interview. It has been observed that the concept of consumption contradicts religious values and arguments, and this contradiction is evident in the daily life of the participants. Based on our findings, we can state that especially in this age/era where non-necessary consumption and pleasures are at the forefront, the individual has difficulty in protecting his spiritual values and compromising her belief and religious life by adopting the values of the consumption culture.
