This research was done descriptive and cross-sectional type with the purpose of analysing the correlation postpartum early period breastfeeding success and late period breastfeeding self-efficacy and breast problems. ın this study, 200 mothers who completed give their birth with 37 and over gestation weeks in Aydın Maternity and Children Hospital, primipara, do not have breastfeeding experience, have healthy one child and accept to join this research. In the collection of survey data, mother diagnosis form, questionary form relative to postpartum breasfeeding, in the assessment of breasfeeding success, LATCH Breasfeeding Diagnosis Measurement Tool, Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale, postpartum late period breasfeeding and breast problems form. During the data evaluation, descriptive statics, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests and pearson correlation analysis were used. The average age of the mothers who joined to research is 24.96±5.05. It was determined that 29 % of mothers are high-school graduate, 69.5 % do not work. It was ascertained that the gestation week average that the mothers is 39.25±1.10 week, the average total pregnancy number is 1.17±0.41, at the 91.0 % the last pregnancy was planned, at the 56.0% gave birth by cesarean delivery and 57.0% breastfeed the newborn shortly after the birth. At the breastfeeding oriented findings of the mothers';it was ascertained that as breastfeeding period as long as the newborn wants, whenever he/she wants/cries, preferably starting the next breastfeeding from the last papilla, not giving other supplements except breast milk and debriefing rates about breasfeeding, there is a positively increase postpartum late period than postpartum early period. It was determined that the total average point of the mothers' LATCH Breasfeeding Diagnosis Measurement Tool is 6.55±0.86 and it was seen they have breastfeeding success above the average. In the research, it was determined the breast feeding success is higher on the mothers who gave birth normal vaginal spontaneous delivery, weren't unanesthetized and was not seen postpartum breast problems. The mothers' postpartum late period breastfeeding self-efficacy measure total point average was found as 59.10±7.21.This point is very near to upper limit (70) and was evaluated as good. It was ascertained that the mothers who gave birth normal vaginal spontaneus delivery and their newborn children who take nutritional supplements except breast milk, have low postpartum late period breastfeeding self-efficacy. It was determined a strong positively relation among the mothers'1st Survey LATCH Breastfeeding Diagnosis Scale points, 2nd Survey LATCH Breastfeeding Diagnosis Scale points, LATCH Average Survey Points and Breastfeeding Self-efficacy Scale. It was ascertained that the mothers whose breastfeeding success are high, have high self-efficacy points too. According to this research results, postpartum early period breasfeeding success's high level reduces breast problems and increases postpartum late period breastfeeding self-efficacy.
