Dı̇gı̇tal çağda okuma pratı̇klerı̇nı̇n ve kağıt kı̇tabın güncel durumunun değerlendı̇rı̇lmesı̇ : İstanbul'da yaşayan okurlar üzerı̇ne bı̇r çalışma

As a hegemonic term, the information society establishing the framework of our research is defined by the emergence of a new « intellectual technology » founded on digitized information. This contemporary society, based on information technology, telecommunications and audio-visual elements, has been progressing according to particular social historical and technological aspects within which artificial intelligence and new information and communication technologies have generated new modes of reading by creating new approaches to it, especially during the last decade. In this respect, this master's thesis, conducted in Istanbul, introduces the transformation of reading practices in the context of the information society in the 21st century, as well as the reconsideration of the current position of the paper book by stressing the digital revolution in the cultural and intellectual fields.
