Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to predict cooling dry bulb design temperatures corresponding to 0.4, 1 and 2% annual cumulative frequency of occurrence for locations in Turkey, where no measuring stations are available, for this purpose known data is used for cities where measuring stations exist. Turkey is traditionally divided into seven geographic regions. Each region is firstly considered alone and the cooling dry bulb design temperature is described for each region separately. Later, possibility of predicting the design temperatures dividing Turkey into two regions as coastal and interior is investigated. Statistica package program is used with estimation procedures for calculations. For the description of cooling dry bulb design temperature, the main parameters; easting-northing and terrain elevation should be taken into consideration and linear regression is used for the analysis. Latitude, longitude and altitude are used as regression variables. Just one equation for the description of dry bulb design temperatures for whole Turkey is also supplied.
