Abstract (EN)

Prefabricated structures are among the most preferred structure types in our country and in the world. It is highly preferred for reasons such as rapid and easy manufacturing, easy assembly and minimizing the need for workmanship. In addition, prefabricated structures bring safety to the foreground as the structural elements are produced in the factory. However, some problem may occur in load transfer after assembly, due to the fact that the structural elements are produced separately. Especially filling the space constructed for the assembly of the column with concrete in the foundation column connections causes the formation of cold joints in the structure. Crushing occurs on the concrete surface due to bending moments occurring at the base of the column under the effect of horizontal loads such as seismic and wind loads acting on the structure. The cyclic loads cause the column to drift by creating crushing on the concrete surface. Therefore, the column cannot be complately behavior as fixed support. In this thesis, it is aimed to improve the behavior by performing improvements in socket connection concrete. In addition, the prestressing represented axial load was examined by applying prestress to column specimens. As a result of the study, it has been observed that the improved concrete has positive contributions to the column behavior.
