Abstract (EN)

As a result of earthquakes in our country and in the world, there have been many loss of life and property. Damage caused by the earthquake in buildings reveals that the structures must be strengthened and repaired. Earthquakes are not the main cause of the damage. The main reason of the damages are buildings that are not designed to be earthquake resistant and are not built. Strengthening methods can be applied in a building which has been designed and built previously but is in danger of collapse when it is under the influence of earthquake. As a result of our studies, these strengthening methods and their purpose are explained in the introduction. In the second part, the typical features of the building used in the study, modeling, earthquake loads, loads on the building and information on the program used are given. In the third chapter; As a result of the analysis, data on the building were collected. Compared to non-strengthened condition, reinforced concrete mantle and CFRP, displacements, fold shear forces and moments were compared. These methods applied for the model were compared according to different earthquake regions. In the conclusion part, we evaluated which strengthening method we will use in the earthquake regions where we created the model. As a result of the analyzes and investigations, the reinforcement method we made with reinforced concrete jacketing was more effective than the reinforcement method with CFRP. In the reinforcement method made by reinforced concrete jacket, both the mantle thickness and the mantle height greatly reduce the displacement of the building system.
