Abstract (EN)

Hypertension is the most common in the United States and European countries, outpatient visits, leading to chronic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and stands out as the most common cause of the disease occurring. However, hypertension is a disease that can be prevented and treated. Vascular smooth muscle relaxant effects omentin molecule is produced by adipose tissue adipokine reported. Advances in the treatment of hypertension continues to molecular and genetic level. The purpose of this research thesis produced visceral adipose tissue and vascular smooth muscle relaxant effects shown on the 'omentin' molecule to reveal the relationship between serum levels in patients with prehypertension and hypertension, and to contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension, is the guiding new studies to be done about it. Abant Izzet Baysal University, Faculty of Medicine, Departments of Cardiology and Internal Medicine clinics in the diagnosis of prehypertension or hypertension (arterial blood pressure 130/80 mmHg or more in) and the contact, demographic characteristics of the patients were examined and found in any of the exclusion criteria were excluded from the study. District received approval from the ethics committee of volunteers and patients, the blood sample was taken and informed, by applying centrifugal stored. From this serum sample, omentin levels studied by AIBU medicine faculty biochemistry laboratory. Demographic characteristics of the patients included in the study and the data obtained were recorded and statistically evaluated significancies. In terms of the basic characteristics of the two groups, without MPV (fL) values, no statistically significant differences were found. In the patient group (n = 52), mean serum omentin level of 821.36 ± 44.30 ng / ml in the control group (n = 36) 721.71 ± 36.69 ng / ml. Omentin serum levels of the patient group than the control group was not significant (p = 0.087). The relationship between the level of serum omentin in the prehypertensive and hypertensive patients, need to evaluate separate detailed studies. In this study there was not significant correlation between serum omentin levels and hypertensive subjects. Key Words: Serum Omentin, Prehypertension and Hypertension
