Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to explore the distribution of trombosit volume parameters and trombosit numbers in healthy preterm and term neonates who were born in gynecology and obstetrics clinic of our hospital and stayed in the neonatal unit. In this study, the preterm and term neonates, who were born in Fırat University Hospital and stayed in our hospital's neonatal intensive care unit between 1.1.2010 and 1.1.2017, were retrospectively evaluated. Total 5500 neonates were scanned and 541 of them who were suitable for the study criterias were evaluated. The blood samples results taken propoerly from the neonates were evaluated according to the gestation and/or postnatal age of each case. Continuous variables were shown as mean±standart deviation and median, categorical variables were shown as numbers and percents. Correlation analysis, inpaired t test, Kruskal Wallis test and one-way ANOVA test were used for the statistical analysis. 67.5% (n=338) of the neonates in the study group were female and 94.5% of them were premature. Median gestation age of premature neonates was assessed 32.19±3.29 week. Any kinship was not found between the parents of 68.7 % (n=351) the neonates in the study group when the kinship between parents of neonates were examined. Any significant association was not found between trombosit numbers and trombosit volumes of premature neonates and variables. Key Words: Mature, premature, trombosit, parameter, healthy
