Analysis of torque and apical pressure values ​​of nickel titanium rotary files during preparation

Aim: The aim of this in vitro study; To evaluate the torque and apical pressure forces produced by the files at different depths. Materials and Methods: 96 acrylic blocks were used in this study. The groups were divided into 4 groups according to the files to be used (Reciproc, Reciproc Blue, One Curve, Hyflex One File) (n=24). Each group was divided into 2 subgroups with a pecking depth of 4 mm apical 2 mm coronal or 3 mm apical 1 mm coronal (n=12) and the groups were prepared in a specially manufactured test device in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The data resulting from the preparation were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and pairwise comparisons using Post-Hoc Tamhane's T2. Results: It was found that the torque values increased depending on the pecking depth and the highest value occurred in Reciproc and the lowest torque value in One Curve groups. Statistically significant torque increase was observed only in the Reciproc Blue group (p<0.001). In the force values, it was found that as the pecking depth increased, there was an increase in the rotary groups and a decrease in the reciproc groups. The highest force values were found in the Hyflex group, and the lowest force values were found in the Reciproc Blue group. A statistically significant increase in apical force was observed only in the Hyflex group (p<0.001). Conclusion: As a result, it was found that the torque values increased depending on the pecking depth and the highest value occurred in the Reciproc group. In the force values, it was found that as the pecking depth increased, there was an increase in the rotary groups and a decrease in the reciproc groups.
