Abstract (EN)

Purpose: This study was conducted to compare vitamin D levels in primary infertile patients with vitamin D levels in fertile women. Method: This study was conducted prospectively at Harran University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1st June 2022-31. It consisted of 75 unexplained primary infertile and 75 fertile healthy female individuals who applied to the hospital between March 2023. Two ml blood samples were taken from unexplained primary infertile women and fertile women aged 20-40 years. All venous blood samples were centrifuged at 4000 rpm for 10 minutes. Comparison was made by looking at the 25 hydroxy vitamin levels in the plasma LS-MS 8045 device obtained from the samples. Results: The mean of vitamin D in the unexplained primary infertile group was 5.35 ± 1.81, while the mean of vitamin D in fertile women was 12.6 ± 4.44. It was determined that there was a significant difference between vitamin D levels according to the study groups. It was noticed that the FSH, LH, Progesterone, prolactin and Estrogen values of the unexplained primary infertile group were lower than the fertile group, but there was no significant difference between their values. It was determined that there was no significant difference between the AMH values of the women in the unexplained primary infertile group and the women in the fertile group, and they had values close to each other. Conclusion: The vitamin D levels in the unexplained primary infertile group are lower than those in the fertile group in this context, we think that vitamin D supplementation is important in infertile women, We believe that more randomized controlled studies on the subject will be illuminating Keywords: Vitamin D level, infertile women, fertile women
