Abstract (EN)
The Ottoman period mosque architecture in the Balkans and Kosovo examples are summarized in this study, demonstrating how the Balkan countries reflect Ottoman architecture, how local cultures were incorporated into Balkan cityscapes and how they contributed to the advancement of civilization, as well as the traits, locations, and design developments of mosques built during the domination of the Ottoman Empire. The designs, supplies, buildings, and structural components of the Ottoman-era mosques that still stand in Prizren's center have been examined and evaluated on-site, documented with photos, and evaluations have been made. The Ottoman period mosques in Prizren were documented, and an accurate understanding of Ottoman period architecture was attempted, in this study.
