Abstract (EN)
In the centre of Joseph Conrad?s Heart of Darkness there is a voyage. The quest of the protagonist, that is to say, of Marlow?s, who is also in the position of the narrator, sets the limits of this voyage. And the main point here is a quest of truth. Therefore while Marlow interrogate his own identity the fact that the social identities contradict with the manner of being of the body in the world and that the individuals are only to be classified as the subjects with pathologic bodies of the already defined experiences as long as the body is treated like an object to be categorized and defined will come to light. This, in turn, will bring about inevitably the critiques on the definitions of the black man and the standard woman as well.
