Abstract (EN)
In this master thesis, one of the leading names in the history of Turkish Culture, Prof. Dr. It is based on the biography of Bahaeddin Ögel. Bahaeddin Ögel has held various positions at home and abroad in the context of Central Asian and Turkish Culture. He has written numerous books and articles with his work. Ögel, who has served in Turkey for many years, has served abroad, in the Soviet Union, Mongolia, China, Iran, Germany, Taiwan and has further increased his knowledge. German English French Persian Chinese Mongolian Russian and many foreign languages such as his knowledge of the sources easily allowed him to go down. Ögel, who took the task of researching Turkish history and culture, followed in the footsteps of his teacher Mehmet Fuat Köprülü and adopted his understanding of scientific historiography and left irreplaceable works in the history of culture. He saw Turkish history as an indivisible whole and considered the Hun-Turkish, Gok-Turkish, Uyghur-Turkish, Seljuk-Turkish, Ottoman-Turkish States as the Rings of a chain and connected them to the Republic of Turkey. Bahaeddin Ögel, more than a scholar, has studied his works in detail from political, social, cultural and economic care and has revealed very valuable works. Within the scope of this study, bahaeddin Ögel's life, works and works written about him were mentioned and their contributions to Turkish cultural historiography were evaluated.
