Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to compare the shooting performance, endurance, balance and coordination variables between the two groups of athletes of the general warm-up program in archery and the balance exercise programs added to the general warm-up. 32 volunteer licensed archers were included in the study. In the study, which was planned as a randomized, crossover clinical trial, the athletes were randomly divided into two groups of 16 people. In the first stage, while the archers in the control group applied the general warm-up program in their training, the experimental group applied the other warm-up program that included balance exercises in addition to this general warm-up. After a 2-3 day washout period, these warm-up programs were applied to the opposite group in a cross design. During the washout period, the athletes were asked not to train and shoot arrows. Shooting performance of the archers after the warm-up programs; According to Turkish Archery Federation Competition Rules, endurance; With the 30 Second Push-Up Test, static balance; With the Flamingo Balance Test, coordination is; It was evaluated with the Hexagon Test and the results were recorded. With these evaluations, the acute effect of balance exercises in different warm-up styles on the performance of archers was examined. As a result of the research, first of all, the effect of the washout time and the period was examined. In order to see whether the wash-out period was sufficient to recover from the effects of the given warm-up program, it was examined whether there was a difference between the first and second evaluation results of both groups, and no statistical difference was observed (p>0.05). The period effect was also evaluated with the appropriate test statistic and no statistical difference was observed (p>0.05). According to the results, it was seen that the wash-out period was sufficient and the effect of the warm-up program applied to the groups was not transferred to the next warm-up program. When the general warm-up program and the balance training applied in addition to the general warm-up have an effect on the performance parameters of the athletes; In the analyzes performed before and after the 3-day washout period, it was concluded that there was no statistical difference in shooting performance, flamingo balance test, push-up test and hexagonal coordination test values between the experimental and control groups, and the null hypothesis was accepted (p>0.05). It was concluded that the balance training given in addition to the general warm-up program did not have an increasing effect on the performance parameters of the archers, and the test results of the two groups were similar.
