Özet (EN)
In this study, the effects of exercise were investigated on lower extremity morfometry in female volleyball players. In Elazığ measurements of, lower extremities of 60 female player who have played volleyball professionally at least for one year and for the control group the same number of healthy individuals were done. Paying attention to the age ranges of players, this study requires regular training at least three days per week and two hours in a day. The study group included subjects who have never suffered from deformation at lower extremty, congenital deformity, without any pain in lower extremity and lumbosacral region. Those who have fracture at lower extremities and any systemic disease which may effect stabilization were excluded from the study. In this study modified caliper, caliper, anthropometer (model 01290), tape line, length measuring scale and bascule had been used in order to evaluate lenght and weight measurement, hip, thigh, knee, leg, and ankle circumference, biiliac, bitrocanteric, knee, ankle and feet wideness, lower extremity, thigh, leg, foot lengths and the medial and lateral malleolus heights. Independent Samples t test used for statistical analysis. There was no significant differences for control and study groups in case of age, height and weight (p>0.05). Lower extremity, leg and foot lengths, biiliac, ankle and feet wideness, thigh and feet wrist circumference, medial and lateral malleolus heights were significantly different between two groups (p<0.05). No statistically significant differences were found on measurements of lenght of thigh, knee and bitrocanteric wideness, hips, knee and leg calibers (p> 0.05). In conclusion it has been revealed in this study and similar studies that the result of anthropometric measurements vary in volleyball players. According to the datas that we obtained, it is concluded that physical variations which are depend on characteristic features of volleyball can be taken place and the players will have advantage in case of using this physical variations efficiently.
