Abstract (EN)

Football is the most followed sport in Turkey and the World. The football economy has grown considerably due to the fact that football is followed by large masses. Professional football players also benefited from the high wages they received, especially after the Bosman Decision, due to this growing football economy. Unlike other employment contracts, professional football player contracts are in the nature of a employment contract because they contain a dependency relationship and do not commit a result. Therefore, professional football players are also workers who work for a wage. However, it is ignored that proffessional football players are workers because they earn much higher wages than other workers. The study aims to provide information about the remuneration of professional football players with worker status. Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Professional Football Players which is prepared by Turkish Football Federation is essential because they are special law terms in the proffessional football players' contracts, which is the subject of this study. Therefore, the legal relationship between TFF and proffessional football players is discussed in the study's first part to understand the issue better. In this study, every academic work written in the field of sports law and related to the subject has been tried to be examined. Furthermore, this study aims to better understand the issue by referring to as many TFF Arbitration, UÇK, Supreme Court, CAS and DRC decisions as possible. In addition, concrete events related to the subject from the football world are also included.
