Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the relation between job satisfaction, organizational justice and self esteem of the professional players. The study group of the study are 780 professional football players chosen randomly and who play in the football teams of Spor Totto Super League, Bank Asia First League and Spor Totto Second and Third Leagues in the 2010-2011 football season. The sample professional footballers play for the clubs such as Trabzonspor A.Ş., Galatasaray A.Ş., Bursaspor, Kayserispor, Kasımpaşaspor, Kardemir D.Ç. Karabükspor, Manisaspor, M.K.E.Ankaragücü from the Spor Totto Super League of the Turkey Football Federation, and Mersin İdmanyurdu, Orduspor, Çaykur Rizespor, Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor, T.K.İ. Tavşanlı Linyitspor, Denizlispor, Kartalspor and Altayspor from the Bank Asia First League, and Göztepe A.Ş., Akçaabat Sebatspor, Şanlıurfaspor, Alanyaspor, Ofspor, Sarıyer, 1461 Trabzonspor, Bozüyükspor, Turgutluspor, Adana Demirspor, Mardinspor, İskenderun Demir Çelikspor, Tokatspor from the Spor Totto Second League, and lastly Denizli Belediyespor, İskenderunspor 1967, Ankara Keçiörensportif A.Ş., Antalya Kepez Belediyespor, Trabzon Arsinspor, Darıca Gençlerbirliği, 72 Batmanspor, Trabzon Yalıspor, İstanbul Anadolu Üsküdar 1908 Spor, Gümüşhanespor, İzmir Torbalıspor, Bursa Oyak Renaultspor from the Spor Totto Third League.In the study, the professional footballers were given a ?Demographical Form?, ?Coopersmith Self Esteem Inventory? and ?Organizational Justice Perception Scale? and ?Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale? prepared by the researcher. The data was computerized and subjected to a pre analysis in order to make it available for validity and variance analysis, leaving odd ones out. SPSS for 17.0 was used in the analysis of the data. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation), Hierarchical Regression Analysis, Pearson Moments Correlation Coefficient Analysis, and t-test were used and in order to determine the significance level of the results from the f-test (ANOVA) a Tukey Multiple Comparisions test was made.According to the findings of the study; It was seen that there is a statistically significant correlation between job satisfaction rates and organizational justice perceptions and self esteem of the samples. In the hierarchical regression analysis, it was seen that organizational justice and self esteem affected the job satisfaction perceptions of the footballers in significant level. In the study the demographical findings were compared to the organizational justice variable and it was seen that there were statistically significant results in terms of age, marital status, total professional play time, annual income and league categories. When the self esteem variable is evaluated, it was seen that there are statistically significant results in terms of age, marital status, total professional play time, annual income and league categories. Finally, there were other statistically significant results between the job satisfaction perceptions and age (all included), annual income (all included), total professional play time (general satisfaction- internal satisfaction) and league categories (all included). Some suggestions based on the findings were made for the future studies.Key words: Professional footballer, Organizational Justice, Self Esteem, Job Satisfaction.
