Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in order to specify intellectual and ideological bases of curriculum with respect to the theories of educational philosophy, educational sociology and ideology. Within the context of research questions, this study is a theoretical one conducted based on the method of the review of the related literature. The findings of the research questions concerning the intellectual and ideological bases of curriculum theory with regard to the theories of philosophy and sociology were determined at two phases. In the first phase, each theory of educational philosophy and educational sociology was examined according to intellectual bases of conceptual categories developed related to epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, and education; thus, intellectual and ideological bases of the theory of ideology were specified by investigating the theory of ideology in terms of the basic claims that it holds. In the second phase, depending on the general frame presentation of the scientific-technical approaches and non-scientific-technical approaches in the field of curriculum theory, the intellectual and ideological bases put forward regarding the theories of educational philosophy, educational sociology, and ideology were considered at length. The presentation of a curriculum theory was made through the intellectual and ideological bases of curriculum theory.Key Words : Theory, Theories of Philosophy, Theories of Sociology, Theories of Ideology, Curriculum Theory, Curriculum Approaches
