Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis study is to determine the effect of an educational mobile game on mobile learning attitude through fuzzy logic method. For this purpose, an educational android mobile game and fuzzy logic based android mobile application have been developed for the programming lesson. In addition, a website is created with Web Programming to collect and store the data of attitude scale towards mobile learning applied in the study. Performance comparison is made using different fuzzy logic methods during the development of fuzzy logic based attitude determination system. In this study, in the fuzzification step of fuzzy logic tecnique four different membership functions namely Triangular, Trapezoid, Gaussian and Sigmoid Membership Functions; in the rule based inference step Mamdani and Tagaki-Sugeno methods and lastly in the defuzzification step four different methods namely Centroid of Area, Mean of Maximum, Largest of Maximum and Smallest of Maximum are used. During the development of the fuzzy logic-based attitude determination system of the study, Triangular Membership Functions, Mamdani Inference Method and Center of Area are used. Pilot study is carried out before the main study. The aim of the pilot study is to test the reliability of the attitude scale, to test and evaluate the developed android mobile game and fuzzy logic based android application. The pilot study is carried out with a group of 100 students, consisting of undergraduate students of engineering faculty. Following the pilot study, the main study is carried out. The study is carried out with 234 undergraduate students who take programming courses at the engineering faculty of Manisa Celal Bayar University in the 2018-2019 academic year. In the experimental model with experimental and control groups, pre-test and post-test are applied. Personal data form and attitude scale towards mobile learning are used as data collection tools. The data obtained in the study are analyzed with SPSS 25.0 program. In the analysis of the data; percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square relationship test, dependent groups t-test, independent groups t-test, one way anova, levene test, Fischer Post Hoc Analysis and Tamhane Post Hoc Analysis are used. In addition, the XV data are evaluated by classical logic based traditional method and fuzzy logic based attitude determination system developed within the thesis, and the results are compared. This comparison is made and presented both in terms of the total attitude score towards mobile learning and for each factor of the scale.
