Propaganda maps and historical samples

In this research, propaganda maps, which are one the map types, are discussed. Maps, which are a visual communication tool, have presented the dsired message to the other party with various perception managements throught history and received feedback in the desired direction. In this context propaganda maps that have become widespread and multiply have a very important place in terms of cartography. Societies or countries must first learn some map drawing rules in order to convey various topics through maps. Parallel to this, the importance of cartography has increased. Propaganda maps are prepared with the aim of creating the desired perception in the target audience, both covertly and openly. I. and II. Propaganda maps, which played a strong role in the psychological wars of countries with each other during World War II, have been actively used until today.
