Abstract (EN)
In this study, planning of three dimensional conformal radiotherapy and tomoterapi lineer accelerator devices were done in treatment planning systems using the tomografi images of pre-treatment of 10 patients with prostat cancer diagnosis. Doses taken by target and critical organs were compared through dose-volume histograms obtained. Minimum and maximum dose values of target and dose value taken by 95 percent of target were examined and compared. For the critical organs volumes of rectum which takes 50 Gy and 65 Gy dose, volumes of bladder which takes 65 Gy and 70 Gy dose, maximum dose value and volume which takes 50 Gy of femural heads were compared. Between two types of planings dose diferences of maximum, minimum and dose-volumes were calculated. As a consequence of comparision done, in the planning of tomoterapi while target takes more homogenus dose critical organs were saved better.Key Words : Tomotherapy, Conformal Radiotherapy, Dosimetry, Cancer
