Abstract (EN)
In this study, the basic operating principles of a proton accelaretor and their nuclear application fields considering incident proton energies are examined. The nuclear reaction cross sections, which were induced by proton energies from 1-2 MeV to 1.5 GeV, calculated by using equilibrium and pre-equilibrium reaction mechanisms. By comparing the experimental values obtained from the literature, and the theorical calculations, the optimum energy range for radioisotope production and determination of target materials are determined. More, semi-empirical cross section formulas for neutron induced reactions developed by Tel et al, are obtained for proton-induced reactions including the Coulomb effect. The new semi-empirical cross sections formulas and the new coefficients belonging to these formulas for proton-induced reactions are discussed in result section.
