The validity and reliability study of the Competence Perception Scale of psychoeducation program development and implementation

In this study, it was aimed to develop a valid and reliable measurement tool for measuring the perceptions of guidance teachers' adaptation development and application competence in psychoeducation program. The study also examined whether there is a difference in the perception of guidance teachers' ability to adapt, develop and implement a psychoeducation program according to demographic variables. The study group consisted of 622 guidance teachers working in schools in Çankaya, Keçiören and Gölbaşı districts of Ankara. The trial form, developed and used in the research, developed by taking the expert opinion of the Psychoeducation Program Development and Implementation Perception of Competence Scale, consists of 36 items of 5 likert type. KMO-Bartlett test, exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha reliability analysis and correlation analysis techniques were used for data analysis. It was found that KMO sample fit coefficient of the scale was .97 and Barlett Sphericity Test χ2 value was 108097.78 (p <.001). As a result of the analysis, 3-factor scale consisting of 26 items called "Psychoeducation Program Adaptation Development and Application Competence Perception Scale" was developed. Item-total correlations of the scale ranged from .51 to 83, while the. "Adaptation" subscale ranged from .71 to .85, the "development" subscale ranged from .84 to .88 and the "implementation" subscale ranged from .51 to .86. It was found that the t values of the 27% groups defined as lower and upper values ranged between 15.24 and 25.63, and there was a significant difference between the mean scores obtained from each item of the scale. The correlation values between the sub-dimensions of the scale ranged from .72 to .92. The reliability coefficients of the subscales ranged from .94 to .96. The reliability coefficient of the overall scale is .97. Findings show that "Psychoeducation Curriculum Development and Implementation Competence Scale" is a valid and reliable measurement tool.
