Abstract (EN)
This study aimed to examine effects of job satisfaction and personality traits on job burnout in psychologists. The research group consists of 352 psychologists including 240 (68,2%) female and 112 (31,8%) male, working in psychotherapy centers in Istanbul in 2023. The study group was reached using convenient sampling method. In the research, Job Satisfaction Scale, Ten-Item Personality Inventory, The Burnout Measure Short Version, Sociodemographic Information Form prepared by the researcher and Voluntary Consent Form were used as a data collection. In the study, independent groups t-test, ANOVA, correlation and multiple linear regression analysis were used. Significant relationships were found between the variables determined in consequence of the study and job burnout. When there is a negative significant relationship job satisfaction and job burnout; a positive and significant relationship was found between personality traits and job satisfaction. Personality traits and job burnout had a negative and statistically significant relationship. In the research, job satisfaction and personality traits that include conscientiousness and extraversion predicted job burnout. While focused on the sociodemographic characteristics of psychologists, job satisfaction, personality traits and job burnout showed a statistically significant difference.
