Abstract (EN)
Emerging technologies let nations to search different strategies in combat zone. Thus, another struggle technique, without explosives and chemical weapons, has become more important. This long standing struggle technique, which has increased importance today, is called psychological warfare. It was a formerly supporting component of conventional warfare but, now it turns out in to be struggle technique. Through this technique, taking over big segments of people without fighting, spares nations from large war costs. Through thriving media, influencing and changing one man?s attitude somewhere in the world is within the reach.A weak nation?s or a group?s attack with unique and unforeseen techniques, abstaining from a strong nation?s opportunity and ability, to strong nation?s weak sides, is called asymmetric warfare. If we consider today?s political and social atmosphere, also a strong nation or a group can use asymmetric warfare against the weak nations, for acquitting excess costs economically, avoiding internal and external political compulsions. It is possible to see in the history that how powerful nations can defeat nations with weak internal dynamics, without using guns by exploiting these structures. Iraq Army surrendered to the USA without using weapons, overthrow of the governments in one night, frequent regime protests in Georgia and Eastern European Countries (EEC), can be given as an example in this point. Now, it is not possible to reckon with only forces and weapons for protecting national interests. Who wants to dictate his intention and desire to enemy, not only can use armed forces. Instead of this, all armed or unarmed, military or not military, fatal or not fatal agents will be used. Keywords: War, Psychological Warfare, Asymmetric Warfare, Media, Propaganda
