A mobbing study within the framework of psychological violence

In every aspect of life such as family, friendship, interpersonal and business life relations, we can face upsetting, depressing, offending behaviors with deep impacts on us and usually, as we are not aware of what we are facing, we can have difficulties coping with these behaviors. In the first chapter of this study, beginning with theoretical framework of violence and psychological violence, definition of mobbing, mobbing behaviours, causes and types of mobbing are discussed. In the second chapter, course of mobbing and in the third chapter, results of mobbing, methods to manage and overcome mobbing and datas provided from complaints coming to "ALO 170 Labour and Social Security Communication Center" are presented. The aim of this study is to focus on the fact that mobbing is a type of psychological violence and to present seriousness of this issue by examining mobbing term, classifying harmful behaviours observed in business life in order to emphasize importance to take necessary actions to overcome mobbing.
