Linguistic and literary aspects in psychological commentary -The example of Abdurrahman Kasapoğlu

In all kind of Tafsir approaches, linguistic and literary analyses have been used in interpretations more or less since before everything, Quran is a literary scripture. Psychologic Tafsir developed in recent periods, uses linguistic and literary methods as well. Abdurrahman Kasapoğlu who has developed methods and applications regarding psychological Tafsir, has used linguistic and literary methods in practical Quran Psychological Research. The objective of this thesis is to account for how linguistic and literary methods are systematized and aplied in psychological Tafsir studies specific to Abdurrahman Kasapoğlu. This thesis will be based on Abdurrahman Kasapoğlu's works in which he tried to systematize psychological Tafsir as an independent Tafsir school. Application sections in Kasapoğlu's works will be evaluated. In this way, place and significance of linguistic and literay methods in psychological Tafsir will be demonstrated.
