Abstract (EN)

Aim: Psoriasis, a chronic inflammatory disease, is also a psychosomatic disorder. The etiopathogenesis of psoriasis is multifactorial and stress-related factors have been associated with the development of the disease, its prognosis, and the frequency of exacerbations. In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between childhood traumas, anxiety sensitivity, emotion regulation, mental resilience, depression and anxiety severity and psoriasis, and to investigate the effects of all these factors on the development of the disease from a holistic perspective. Method: 100 patients aged 18-65 years diagnosed with psoriasis and 100 healthy controls were included in the study. Sociodemographic Data Form, Childhood Trauma Scale, Emotion Regulation Difficulty Scale, Connor and Davidson Resilience Scale, Anxiety Sensitivity Index-3, Hamilton Anxiety Scale, and Hamilton Depression Scale were applied to all participants included in the study. Findings: HAM-D, HAM-A, HAM-P, HAM-S, ASI-3 physical, cognitive, social subscale and total scores of the patient group included in the study, CTQ physical abuse, physical neglect, emotional neglect, sexual abuse subscale and total scores scores, DERS openness, impulse subscale, and CD-RISC propensity to spirituality subscale scores were found to be higher than the healthy control group. A one-unit increase in HAMD value increased the development of psoriasis 1.154 times; A oneunit increase in the ASI-3 physical subscale is 1,080 times; A one-unit increase in the CTQ emotional neglect value is 1.185 times; A one-unit increase in the COURSE openness subscale increased 1,382 times; It was determined that a one-unit increase in the CD-RISC optimistic thinking subscale value decreased 1.296 times. Results: In addition to the fact that the Childhood Traumatic Experiences, Anxiety Sensitivity, Depression, Anxiety and Difficulty in Emotion Regulation scores were found to be higher in psoriasis patients compared to the control group; Resilience Scores, which are defined as protective factors against the risk factors of this disease, were found to be lower. In the development of psoriasis, increasing scores on the Depression Scale, Childhood Traumatic Experiences Scale, Emotional Neglect Scale, Anxiety Sensitivity Scale Physical Subscale, Emotion Regulation Difficulty Scale Openness Subscale, Psychological Resilience Spirituality Tendency Subscale scores increase the risk of psoriasis. However, Anxiety Scale scores increased the risk of developing psoriasis. detected. In addition to all these psychological parameters and somatization pave the way for the development of psoriasis.
