Abstract (EN)

Today, the use of semiconductors and researches on the production of these technologies have gained great importance with the developing technology. Recent years, especially researches on organic based semiconductors have been a major share. The main reasons why organic polymers are so popular in the production of semiconductor technologies are because the ability to operate at low temperatures, easy fabrication with low cost, and the high efficiency from resulting electronic devices. As a result of many studies conducted in this direction, many electronic devices such as organic field effect transistor (OFET), organic thin film transistor (OTFT), Schottky barrier diode (SBD) and organic solar cell (OSC) are produced with organic polymers. In the scope of this thesis, metal-polymer-semiconductor type SBDs and OGHs were produced by using new generation organic polymer PTB7 with 1:1 and 2:1 concentrations of PCBM doped. The electrical characterization of the produced SBDs was performed by dark, light and temperature dependent measurements. As a result of measurements ideality factors (n), barrier heights (ΦB), series resistances (Rs), shunt resistances (Rsh) and interface state density (Nss) were analyzed. 150W light source was used for the under light measurements of SBDs. Temperature dependent measurements were carried out in the range of 200K-325K with 25K steps. Frequency dependent measurements were taken with capacitance-voltage (C-V) and conductivity-voltage (G/w-V) measurements at frequency between 10 kHz - 2MHz and -10V to +10V voltage range. Produced OGHs were investigated under the AM 1.5 illumination. As a result of measurements short circuit current (Isc), open circuit voltage (Voc), fullness factor (FF) and efficiency (ƞ) values were analyzed.
