Abstract (EN)
In the study presented, 13 different type of membranes were prepared with the solving casting method. A series of hydrophilic membranes were obtained by adding hydrophilic acrylamid (AAm), acrylic acid (AA), itaconic acid (IA) and crotonic acid (CA) monomers into the polyurethane (PU) polymers which is in hydrophobic character. The basic aim of this research is to study the dependence of drug diffusion to the surface and structural characteristics of the membranes prepared. The diclofenac sodium (DCF-Na) diffusion to the membranes prepared was examined at 37°C for a period of time of 1 0 hours and it was determined that when the hydrophilic groups increase the diffusion also increases. The highest permeation value was reached for the (CA)3 membrane. The swelling values for these membranes were measured and the effect of swelling to the permeation were studied. The highest swelling value is determined as 54.3 % for (AA)3 membrane. FTIR spectra are taken to determine the structural characteristics and the bonds related with PU molecules were observed in ail spectra. The SEM photographs of membranes were also taken to determineIV the surface characteristics from these photographs, the (AA)3 membrane which has the highest swelling value was observed as having the most porosive structure. The microbiological characteristics of the membranes were studied by adhesion of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacterias to the surface. It was determined that the adhesion of the bacterias were lower than the control media. Science code Key Words PU, AAm, AA, IA, CA, membrane, drug diffusion, diclofenac sodium, SEM.
