Pulmonary thromboembolism of vitamin D levels and relations with cardiac parameters

Abant Izzet Baysal University Health Practice and Research Hospital pulmonary embolism was diagnosed in 38 patients and 35 healthy control study received. Known heart disease, asthma, cancer, obesity (BMI: 30 to above) and with a diagnosis of depression were excluded. Age of the patient and control groups, gender and be considered to be equivalent to the BMI. SPSS 22.0 statistical analysis program with the t-test, non-parametric tests of Many White test, chi-square test and was performed using Pearson's test for bivariate correlation. PTE in patients D-Dimer, vitamin D levels and parameters of cardiac CK, CK-MB, troponin and pro-BNP levels were compared with the healthy control group. Patients in group ,cardiac parameter compared to the control group, CK, CK-MB and troponin levels were igher than the other control group. However, this did not reach statistical significance level height.(P> 0.05). D-dimer levels were significantly higher in the PtE group (p <0.001). Pro-BNP levels were also significantly higher in the PTE group (p = 0.009). Vitamin D significantly compared to the healthy control group, pulmonary thromboembolism group was detected at low levels (p <0.001). Women in patients and controls D Vitamin levels were at a lower level than men. In addition submassive According to the PTE in nonmasif PTE showed vitamin D level was low. In conclusion, our study on the development of PTE with low levels of vitamin D found relationship, but we think a larger number in order to verify the relationship including multi- center prospective study of patients that need to be made .
