Thesis)Mustafa YILMAZGAZ UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGYDecember 2005ABSTRACTIn industrial sector, where metal process is common, spot-welding machines areused frequently in every phase of production. In production, errors which willbe put into automation can be removed easily with the computer and the micro-controller system. In this thesis, position control of the spot-welding machinemoving on two axis has been conducted with the computer and the micro-controller. The point which will be welded can be visually determined throughcomputer screen with the help of a graphic containing two dimensious plane.Two step motors have been used to move on two axis. Control of motors hasbeen undertaken with PIC16f877.
