Abstract (EN)
. The study was planned with the aim of determining the psychometric properties of Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and Purdue Pegboard Test. In the study, healthy and hand injured individuals aged 18-65 years are included to determine the validity, reliability and cut-off point of Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and Purdue Pegboard Test. One hundred sixty two (98 female; 64 male) healthy participants with a mean age of 38,4810,04 years were evaluated under the same conditions twice on different days with Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and Purdue Pegboard Test. Beside Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and Purdue Pegboard Test, grip strength was assessed and DASH-T was completed by hand injured participants. One hundred fourty three (79 female, 64 male) patients with mean age of 40.4412.9 years were evaluated with Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and, one hundred one (57 female, 44 male) patient with mean age of 37.5112.65 years were evaluated with Purdue Pegboard Test. For validity analysis hypothesis testing, for reliability analysis test re-test method was used and the cut-off point was determined by the ROC analysis method. A statistically significant difference was found between Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and Purdue Pegboard Test between healthy and hand injured patients (p<0.05). There was a moderate correlation (r: 0.35-0.59) between hand function tests, grip strength and DASH-T questionnaire. In terms of test retest reliability, there was a statistically significant correlation between Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and the Purdue Pegboard Test (p <0.001; r: 0.75-0.96). It was found that Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test's cut-off point is 37.08 sec for injured hand, 33.10 sec for healthy hand; Purdue Pegboard Test's cut-off point for mathematical total subset is found as 48.5. Jebsen Taylor Hand Function Test and the Purdue Pegboard Test can be used by therapists to assess hand function of 18-65 years orthopedic hand injuried individuals as valid reliable tests that has a cut-off point.
