Özet (EN)

Heat pump is a machine which absorbs heat from the space under low temperature condition and transfers to the space under high temperature condition by giving work. Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) have a high performance because of constant earth temperature during the year. Thus, they are tremendous alternative as conventional heating and cooling systems. As is known, the refrigerants, such as R12 and R22 which have ODP and GWP, are being used in heat pumps and other refrigeration units until quite recently. Some refrigerants, such as R407c and R410a, was developed as alternative to R12 and R22 in recent years. However, There is no detailed and enough knowledge about performance of these new refrigerants in the heat pumps. In this study, a vertical GSHP with R407c has a 40 m-boring depth refrigerant was installed in Gazi University Technical Education Faculty Department of Installation Education for heating and cooling of a room which has a 20,7 m3-volume. The energy and exergy analyses of the installed GSHP were performed as a function of boring depth for summer and winter seasons. In the last part of the study, the performance of the GSHP for both heating and cooling is given as empirical by using ANN approach in which experimental data was used.
