The investigation of proton effects on some biological target in radiotherapy

Abstract (EN)
This study explains that how radiotherapycally used protons lost their energy and how much they proceeded on biological targets. although the energy range of protons is 65-250 MeV, in this study 0,04-250 MeV energy ranged protons are used. Their released energy per length, stopping power, distance until lose their energy, range values for water, skin, prostate, testical, pancreas, and air are theorically calculated. Tsoulfanidis? (1995) recommended stopping power equation for heavy loaded particles is used on stopping power calculations. Firstly range values are calculated for air by using empirical equations which are used for calculating the approximate range on range calculations. Afterwards 3 different range results are obtained with the founded range values by using air percentages gained from Tsoulfanidis and PSTAR NIST Data Base, SRIM 2006 softwares. Stopping power?s and range values? results on mentioned calculations are compared with ?PSTAR NIST Data Base?, ?SRIM 2006? softwares and the study calculatins which about this subject results.
