Determinations on artist personality of Rakım Elkutlu and his works in the TRT repertoire

It is known that since the formation period of classical turkish music, each age has expressed its different historical understandings, perspectives and traditions, and has always developed in terms of both mode, style and form diversity, and has reached today. Undoubtedly, it can be said that this development and progress of classical turkish music, which is one of our most important cultural heritages, has reached its current position thanks to the important names who contributed to this process. Hoca Mehmet Râkım Elkutlu is thought to be one of the important representatives of classical turkish music, with his works in different forms that have reached today and his contributions to our music. In this research, the artist personality of Rakım Elkutlu, who is a naathan, kudümzenbaşı, sazende, singer and composer in addition to his duty as an imam, and the determinations of his works in the TRT repertoire were discussed. In the study, a descriptive method was preferred for the determination of the situation, and the works of Rakım Elkutlu in the TRT repertoire were identified and analyzed from different angles, made more understandable through charts and various comments were made to make some inferences. Hoca Mehmet Rakım Elkutlu's contributions to the TRT TSM repertoire are an exemplary personality with his social and working life, he has produced works in seven different forms, the song form has the biggest place in his works, and he prefers to use it with the butler at the beginning of the rhythmic patterns He preferred to use Nahit Hilmi Özeren lyrics extensively in his oral works. It is thought that Rakım Elkutlu's works will shed light on subjects such as getting to know the types of forms, using different methods in the same work, and how to use the makam in compositions.
