in this study dealing with Turkish - Greek relations in the recent period, the finding that the 1999 Earthquake had been a milestone on the relations was taken as a basis, and the problematic of the study was established on this event. Our search aims to find an answer to the nature of getting closer. Could such closing solve the generations long problems in Turkish and Greek relations or is it a provisional and superficial one which shall leave its place to another tension period
