Rat overlerinde iskemi reperfüzyon hasarina karşi aronia melanocarpa ekstraktinin koruyucu etkisi

In this study; the effect of Aronia extract on ovarian ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats was investigated. Research was conducted in Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Faculty of Medicine, Experimental Research Center. For this purpose, Wistar albino female rats (n=40) were used and they were randomly divided into 5 groups. Groups were control, ischemia-reperfusion, Ary1, Ary2 and Ary3. The extract was given daily to the rats in the treatment group by gavage one week before ischemia. 60 minutes of ischemia and 24 hours of reperfusion were applied for each experimental group. At the end of the experiment, ovarian tissue was taken from the rats under anesthesia. Biochemical analyzes were performed on the tissue and serum samples. Also, ovarian tissue was evaluated histopathologically. In addition to these, Interleukin-1 beta, Interleukin-6 and Tumor necrosis factor alpha levels were determined immunohistochemically. As a result of the study, there was a decrease in the levels of some antioxidants with the application of Aronia extract in rats. On the other hand, the activity of proinflammatory cytokines decreased and less hyperemia, bleeding and necrosis were observed. As a result, it can be concluded that Aronia extract is a substance that can be used to protect against ischemia-reperfusion injury in the ovaries.
