Özet (EN)
This study was undertaken to investigate which level of noise is responsible for oxidative stress and to investigate the effect of oxidative stress on sperm quality. In the study, 28 male Wistar-Albino rats, 2.5-3 months old, were used in each group. Group 1 is the control group that is kept in the idle mode. Group 2 is the group exposed to low-level noise with a frequency of 8,000 to 32,000 hertz and a frequency of 60 dB. Group 3 is the group exposed to moderate noise with a frequency of 8,000 to 32,000 hertz and an intensity of 80 dB. Group 4 is the group exposed to high-level noise with a frequency of 8,000 to 32,000 hertz and a magnitude of 100 dB. The animals were exposed to SESE for 12 days from 7 pm to 7 am for 60 days. After 60 days blood and semen samples were taken and examined. After blood samples have been centrifuged, GSH, GSH-Px and catalase enzymes from MDA antioxidant enzymes, which are lipid peroxidation indicators in the hemolysate to be obtained, have been measured. Motility, density and spermatozon ratio of anarmol were determined in sperm samples. Increased levels of MDA, indicative of lipid peroxidation as a result of high-level noise, indicate increased oxidative stress resulting from increased CAT levels and GSH-Px activity. CAT levels and GSH-Px activity are also increased at low and moderate noise levels. As a result, we believe that oxidative stress caused by high-level noise application can lead to various cell-level damages, especially lipid peroxidation. When the effect of oxidative stress on the sperm quality of the noise outcome is examined, the ratio of abnormal spermatozoa in the rats exposed to medium and high grade noise is increased in our study. This indicates that the sperm quality is falling.
