Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the adsorption of Reactive Blue 221 textile dye used in the textile industry from aqueous solution with Aspergillus niger fungus was studied. The system was operated with batch mixing. For this purpose, in the first stage of the study,. Adsorption studies were carried out at six different pH values between pH 4-6.5. Then, four different adsorbent doses ranging from 1-10 g/L were examined and the optimum adsorbent dose was determined. In order to determine the optimum temperature, three different temperature values between 20-40˚C were used. By applying Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin isotherms to experimental studies, thermodynamic parameters were calculated and adsorption kinetics were determined. The results obtained were statistically analyzed with the RSM method in order to ensure that the adsorption process can be applied in what direction and to compare the factors affecting the adsorption phenomenon together. When interpreting the graphics obtained by the three-dimensional response surface method and interpreting the most appropriate experimental conditions; The initial RB 221 concentration was determined as 87.25 mg/L removal and 87% efficiency, pH 5, temperature 30˚C and fixed A.niger dosage 5 g/L. In line with the results obtained, promising results were obtained in terms of the use of the Aspergillus niger fungus species used in the thesis study in the treatment of dyed wastewater generated by the textile industries.
