Recaizade in Mahmut Ekrem's poems dream world

To this study; It was started with the aim that all of the poet's poems should be examined with a holistic approach. The subject of the study is the poems of Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem, who is generally known as a teacher and theorist, with his nature-based style of working together with classical themes. With the Renaissance movement, nature became a goal, not a tool. While nature is an image of God in classical poetry, it is treated within the framework of an individual attitude with romanticism. In the study, the image of the poet's imagination reflected in the poem was tried to be expressed both through the poetic form in classical poetry and through nature images. In the introduction part II. General characteristics of Turkish literature during the reign of Abdulhamid were mentioned. In addition, information is given about the species, the first examples of which were given during the Tanzimat period. In the first chapter, the life and art of Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem, the poet of the subject of the study, was tried to be introduced. In the second part of the study, the elements that constitute the dream world of the poet Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem are explained with the concept of image. In this context, views that have more than one meaning about the image are presented. In the third part of the study, which constitutes the main text, the concepts in the poet's dream world are classified imaginatively. Accordingly, in addition to the usual natural elements within the framework of classical poetry, nature images, which will constitute the main subject of the poem, have been tried to be shown. In the conclusion, it was tried to determine how nature gained meaning in Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem's poetry, how even the smallest particle of nature was processed perfectly, how nature affects the person's mood, how the person's emotions also spread to nature, and what kind of manifestation the image is characterized with Keywords: Nature, Recaizade Mahmut Ekrem, Poetry, Romance, Image.
