Recep Tayyip Erdogan's political leadership analysis

The aim of this study is to analyze the political leadership attitudes and qualities of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has an important place and influence in Turkish political history. The study used the Leadership Profile Analysis (LPA) and Operational Code Analysis (OKA) methodologies for analyzing the political leader's internal political attitudes. The main feature of both analyzes is that the political leader's statements, speeches, relations with his interlocutors, approaches and evaluations can be made by examining the text. In order to be able to perform Erdogan's LPA and OKA analyzes in the study, the current date of 2018, which was transferred to the Presidential Government system, was accepted as the beginning and the end date of 2021. Analytical data, Erdogan's 50 speeches at the AK Party Group meetings for the LPA, which focuses on domestic politics, and 58 speeches, which focused on international relations for the OKA, which focuses on foreign policy, were obtained from open sources. As a result of the LPA analysis, Erdogan's (1) Influence or belief in control, (2) Power desire and expectation, (3) Selfconfidence, (4) Cognitive capacity, (5) Target focus, (6) Intra-group prejudice and ( 7) It has been seen that the threshold values are above the dimensions of insecurity towards others. As a result of the OKA analysis, Erdogan's (1) nature of the political universe, (2) the realization of fundamental values, (3) the predictability of the political universe, (4) the belief in control over historical development, and (5) the role of chance values have been seen to be below.
