Adaptation of poststructuralist theory into the security studies by International Relations theorists transformed the way that the concept of security is analyzed. As the realist conception of security is undergone a deconstructionist process, the perception of an objective concept of security was disrupted in favor of alternative interpretations on the dominating and authoritarian aspects of security policies. In this respect, this thesis aim for a political discourse analysis of security discourses in France within the theoretical perspective drawn by Waever and the methodological context set by Hansen.
